The DIVERGENCE web site is now live. This is our public beta period where we’re opening it up to our fans to help us make sure the site works and to find out what you’d like to see it become.
We are planning a lot of new developments in the coming weeks including more photos, news, and soon a trailer and behind the scenes featurette. Of course, all this leads up to the DIVERGENCE Season One launch later this year.
DIVERGENCE is made for the fans at every level–even the web site. What do you want to see next for the web site? Leave us a comment to let us know!
I’m looking forward to this web series. Actually, you should add a forum to this website of yours. I hope to watch Divergence as soon as possible. Thanks! I have a feeling you’ll be an inspiration to what I want to write about.

Hey you’re our first post! Thank you for your comment. We expect that there will be a DIVERGENCE forum soon.

No problem, just lending in my support for you guys. I hope you succeed!
Site looks great! Can’t wait for the cast bios and extra content to be live. I’ve left links on Dan’s FB fanpage, and instructed the fans to leave feedback, so hopefully they’ll come and check this out!
I feel silly coming in and saying all that without leaving any constructive feedback…the only thing I could suggest is because Divergence will probably start off with a small core fanbase, you would defnitely delight them by giving them “behind the scenes” looks, whether that be blog posts from crew about happenings on set or video messages from the stars themselves. It’ll make the site feel more inclusive, rather than this big official stand-offish feeling that people often get from these sorts of websites (not that I’m saying your site is stand-offish at all).
Good luck and I look forward to it all!!!

I would love to see mini clips from the series; just little teaser video bits for us to nibble on while we wait for trailers. I also liked Natalie’s comment about having a forum; for some reason fans are always attracted to forums and threads.
I definitely agree that there should be a forum, but make sure that you have some moderators in place that can help ‘keep the peace’. Otherwise, it’ll be a free for all without someone there to try and keep a bit of order.
I don’t know if it was the same for anyone else, but the pics from Season One loaded a bit slow for me. Might have just been my comp at the time, but wanted to throw that out there since the rest of the stuff loaded almost immediately.
After the season kicks off and a few episodes have aired, maybe some little trivia games or something to keep people coming back. I know that some of the sites that I visit the most are the ones that offer other things to do besides just go in and ‘talk’. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve met a lot of good people in chats and forums, but at the same time having site ‘scavenger hunts’ or little trivia contests about the episodes kept drawing me back and kept me interested when things would ‘bog down’ or ‘get slow’ in the series.
Overall, I’m looking forward to seeing how the cast gels as a team. Even though they won’t all be on the same side, a good cast has to be able to play off of each other in order to keep the show entertaining and capture the audience. All the special effects or stunts in the world cannot help a show if the cast is unbelievable.
I’ve seen several things with a few of the cast members, but seeing how they all work together will really be the key. Also looking forward to seeing what the ‘big reveal’ during the season will be. A lot of shows that I’ve watched have thrown their viewers a left hook that just sets the line so that when it’s jerked back, they’re caught and will follow you anywhere.

Thanks. I love hearing all these great ideas. Keep ‘em coming!
We designed the site to load quickly and to give a similar appearance on computer, tablet, or mobile phone. I believe the files load slowly because they’re huge and there are a lot of them in that gallery. If the slow loading is a hassle, Team DIVERGENCE may swap in the smaller stills used on Facebook instead. Thanks for letting us know!
For me, the pics didn’t load that slow…maybe about 30 seconds for the entire page? I have high-speed internet though.

Thank you so much for your message. Please tell your son that we are working very hard to get the show ready as fast as we can. We know it’s hard to wait. I can’t wait till the show is on either!
Very cool guys. I’m looking forward to watching the series!
I’ll also let my 9 and 13 year olds watch, they’ll both be excited to see Dan again. (They loved meeting him at AFO!) Please keep us updated!

It might just be my computer, or the browser I am using (Firefox) but the picture on the main page is shifted to the right, not centered, and cuts off part of the picture.
I can’t wait to see more stills and trailers for the series, though. I am really excited about seeing it.

@ Emily – Thanks for letting us know about the Firefox problem. I’m looking into it. It really helps to have you let us know about these as we can’t test on every possible computer/browser combination. I’ll get to the bottom of it!

Looking forward to the series. Keep posting stills and teasers. Dan should definitely bring some clips to conventions. My family will once again be at AFO and happy to see he’s listed as a guest again.
Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit, but other than that, this is fantastic blog. An excellent read. I will definitely be back.
Hmm is anyone else having problems with the pictures on this blog loading? I’m trying to figure out if its a problem on my end or if it’s the blog. Any feed-back would be greatly appreciated.

We have heard that some of the pictures are loading slowly, but that problem primarily seems to be with the page that has a large number of high-resolution publicity stills. Are you having trouble with those pictures, or other pictures on the blog?
Thanks for letting us know, we’re committed to making this web site a great experience for all DIVERGENCE fans, so we’ll look into it.

Hi y’all! Just saw the UTube video 2 times in a row, 10 min of fantastic–we’re hooked already. (Ran a little choppy but GREAT just the same.) We here in Texas just love sci-fi and can’t wait for the series. It’s not easy to create a series that brings so much anticipation–just starting with the trailers-Wow. It’s going to be GREAT. So when is the trivia contest? and where? xxoo
I truly love your website.. Excellent colors & theme. Did you build this web site yourself? Please reply back as I’m attempting to create my own personal site and would like to know where you got this from or just what the theme is called. Many thanks!
